Agent’s Representative Course in Real Estate

The first step to work in real estate or to become a licensed real estate agent (Certificate IV in Property Services) in Victoria is to complete the Agent’s Representative course.  

The REIV Agent's Representative course:

  • is provided over 5 days with flexible learning options to study part time or by distance learning
  • is presented by experienced, professional trainers currently working in the real estate industry

As the peak body of the Victorian real estate industry, training at the REIV opens new opportunities in real estate. The REIV is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO #4042) providing nationally recognised training and qualifications.


This course will provide you with the training required to work in real estate as an agents' representative. An agents' representative can be authorised to perform the functions of an estate agent under the supervision of an estate agent.

The course consists of three units of competency from the Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate):

CPPDSM4080A Work in the Real Estate Industry
CPPDSM4007A Identify Legal & Ethical Requirements of Property Management to complete agency work
CPPDSM4008A Identify Legal & Ethical Requirements of Property Sales to complete agency work

The fee includes a comprehensive learner reference guide and all assessments including up to 3 re-submissions. Students also receive complimentary REIV student membership for 6 months which can be extended by a further 12 months when you start work at an REIV member agency.

The Camberwell course beginning the 10th of April will run on the 10th, 11th, 12th, 18th and 19th of April.
The Werribee course beginning on the 10th of April will run on the 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th of April.
The course beginning the 13th of June will run on the 13th, 14th, 15th, 19th and 20th of June.
