2023 REIV Senior Auctioneer of the Year

The Real Estate Institute of Victoria (REIV) congratulates Greg Brydon of Ray White Cheltenham as the 2023 REIV Senior Auctioneer of the Year. REIV also extends further congratulations to runner up, Luke Banitsiotis of Woodards Blackburn.
At REIV’s Senior Auctioneering Competition this week, Greg claimed his first win after an outstanding auctioneering display before an independent panel of judges. It was a tight race between first winner Greg and three-time winner and 2023 runner up, Luke Banitsiotis.
Both Greg and Luke will go on to represent Victoria at the Australasian Real Estate Institutes’ Auctioneering Championships later this year. The Senior Auctioneer of the Year title also awards Greg the opportunity to call the annual Good Friday Appeal Charity House Auction in 2024.
Greg Brydon was grateful to compete alongside Victoria’s best agents at a time of high auction attendance and strong buyer demand in the market.
“It’s an exciting time to be an auctioneer in Victoria, with auctions attracting high attendee numbers, fierce bidding and excellent outcomes for vendors. As an auctioneer, I’m proud to have my approach and style recognised and owe this result to my mentors, fellow competitors & Ray White colleagues, who have pushed me to be the best version of myself & challenge my skills”, said Mr. Brydon.
REIV President Andrew Meehan said it was pleasing to see the high calibre of talent at this year’s competition.
Mr. Meehan praised the auctioneers for their remarkable display of skills, unwavering passion for their profession, and dedication to achieving exceptional outcomes for both vendors and buyers. The competition showcased the auctioneers' commitment to continuous improvement, highlighting the impressive level of training and effort they invest in honing their craft.
