Prerequisites
All students enrolling in Auction, Sales, Property Management, Commercial or Business Sales courses must have completed their Agent’s Representative course as a minimum prerequisite.
Disabled access
Students with disabilities can be accommodated by contacting the Training department on 9205 6666.
Literacy & numeracy
Students are required to have acquired the following competencies in order to enrol in an REIV course: reading, comprehending and discussing printed information in English; writing simple sentences; using and analysing simple data, relations and patterns; and understanding numbers, measurements and shapes.
Smoking
The REIV is a smoke-free zone.
Parking
There is no parking on-site for students. Course attendees may park in the student carpark located on Butler St at the rear of the REIV.
Mobile phones
Mobile phones must not be used in the reception area and should be turned off during classes.
Dress code
The REIV is a professional business environment and course attendees are expected to dress accordingly.
Student behavior
While attending the REIV, students should be mindful that they are representing the industry and should behave in a professional manner. The REIV reserves the right to request aggressive or disruptive students to leave the building.

All course materials are subject to copyright and should not be copied in part or full without the permission of the REIV Training Manager. The REIV will take legal action in relation to copyright breaches.
How to register for a course
There are four options:
Venue and facilities
The majority of the training programs are conducted at the REIV, 335 Camberwell Road, Camberwell. A number of programs are conducted at metropolitan and regional/rural locations. Registrants will be advised of the venue details if they are not listed in this handbook when their registration is confirmed.
Privacy
The REIV is required to comply with the Privacy Act and respects your right to privacy. To enable the REIV to process your registration, you are requested to provide your personal details. The information you provide to the REIV will only be used to process your registration and provide you with information about future training opportunities. Enrolment Fees and Refund Policy
Fees, charges and refunds

All course fees are published on the REIV website. Fees are structured for Members and non-Members.

Full payment of fees is required upon registration.

Cancellation of course enrolments must be made in writing (letter, fax or email) at least seven days prior to the commencement of the course date. In all cases a $100 administration fee will be retained.

Failure to give proper notice of cancellation will result in the course fee being charged.

Students have the option of transferring to the next available course date at no cost with five working days' notice. Should transfer be requested with less than five days' notice, a $100 fee will be charged. No refund will be made to students who transfer their course and who subsequently cancel.

For Distance Education students, notice to cancel must be recieved in writing prior to dispatch of materials. A $100 administration fee will be retained.

No refund will be made to Distance Education students once the materials are dispatched.
Trading terms
- Registrations must be received no later than 24 hours prior to the course commencement, or seven (7) days prior to an Agent's Representative course commencement.
- Registrations will only be processed if payment is attached. We accept all major credit cards, cheque or money order.
- All students will be forwarded a confirmation letter by email/mail within two business days of receipt of the registration.
- Participants may be substituted at any time prior to the program’s commencement. Notification of any change must be forwarded in writing to the REIV Course Co-ordinator.
- If the situation arises where more than the maximum number of participants (i.e. more than 26 participants) register for a course, the REIV will give preference to students in order of receipt of registration. Unsuccessful applicants will be contacted by the REIV Course Co-ordinator and offered a position in the next available course.
- If participants are not completely satisfied when attending a course, they may download a Complaints and Appeals Form from this website and return it to the REIV Course Co-ordinator.
GST liability

Courses attracting GST will be marked GST (incl.), while courses exempt from GST will be marked GST (excl.)

Registration forms can be used as a tax invoice for tax purposes.
Course cancellation
The REIV reserves the right to cancel or postpone a program.
All registered participants affected by such a change will be contacted and offered the opportunity to transfer to the next available program or receive a full refund.
Presenters
The REIV reserves the right (in the case of unforeseen circumstances) to replace the advertised presenter prior to delivery.
REIV Traineeship program
Charges for the REIV Traineeship program are subject to the above requirements. Fees charged for the Traineeship program comply with the Office of Training & Tertiary Education guidelines and concessions are available to Trainees upon presentation of a Health Care Card. Course Dates
Please note that all course dates are subject to change and additional dates may be scheduled for some courses subject to demand.
Email
The REIV will regularly notify all Member agencies of any special events, seminars, special offers and other relevant training information via email. These emails are forwarded to each Member agency at the central agency address. To ensure your address is correct, please contact the Membership department on 9205 6652.
Customised or Regional Training
The REIV Training department is committed to bringing training to Members outside the metropolitan area. Many courses listed in the REIV course program can be delivered at any location. Interested agents should contact their local REIV division and formally request the course(s) they want delivered in that area. Alternatively the REIV offers customised training to all Members who require tailored courses delivered in-house.
