Gavan Lethlean is a licensed estate agent with over 40 years' experience. He is the principal of Lethlean Property, a commercial, industrial and residential property and sales management company. He is also a qualified valuer, specialising in property, plant, machinery and business valuations and consultancy. Gavan has a wide range of experience in commercial, industrial and residential property financing, sales, leasing, management and related property areas.
He is a Fellow of the Real Estate Institute of Victoria, a Fellow Valuer and Fellow Land Economist of the Australian Property Institute, an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and an Associate of the Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators Australia. He has been awarded Associate status of Arthritis Foundation of Victoria and has been a Justice of the Peace for over 32 years.
Gavan originally joined the REIV in 1967, leaving the Institute in 1972 when his career followed the corporate and property finance path, and eventually rejoining the Institute in 1990, when his valuation practice became more property-management oriented. He was appointed as a director of the REIV in 2008.
